Sometimes you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are, and who you want to be…. so breathe easyyyyy!!!! Follow your normcore style of lounging around in tees, pants or leggings made of 100% natural modal (premium quality) or 100% organic cotton (as I work from home) if you deem it fit. Catchword phrases like ‘breathe you are alive’, ‘yoga is my contribution to peace’, ‘I’m full of love’ and ‘I know how to do headstand’ on Yes Oui Care organic clothing drew the spiritually inclined and conscientious side of ‘me’.
The subtle chicness in this label is brought out by the french Noelline Besson and Corrine Fricker, along with Pankaj Sharma (an exporter of European and American brands). Their designs thoughtfully combine eco-consciousness and ethical branding to raise funds for the underprivileged children and women who also contribute by drawing sketches on similar issues for Yes Oui Care merchandize. The idea is to employ these people eventually, once they complete their studies, if they are keen and rebuild their spirits.
Corrine Fricker a 47 yr. old led a bohemian lifestyle in South East Asia (similar to Liz Gilbert’s in the movie Eat, Pray, Love) while manufacturing hand-woven fabric in Thai villages to sell the same in her native country as anything oriental is sought after amongst the Europeans for being handmade and pure. Later she came to India seeking spirituality and Tibetan tailors, but dug heels further because of the conducive environment and financial stability.
Noelline Besson the 35 yr. co-founder came 8 yrs ago to India. She used to freelance for interior and design projects in France, earlier. Had come for holidays to Mumbai, Bangalore and Goa 9 yrs. back, but 6 months later returned to Delhi to assist the french nationals in their businesses. Her creativity knows no bounds as she began with portraits for Masala Tee and later only quit to start two other trendy labels like Yes Oui Care and Chandernagor – all sustainable projects for the needy. Fricker and Besson seem happy to share this camaraderie on spirituality and much more, away from home.
Pankaj Sharma being the 38yr. Indian wears magnanimity on his sleeve and enjoys mixing his skills with social causes; which one can easily see as the common thread between the three.
Last but not the least I would like to mention YOC collections comprise of kidswear, womenswear, menswear, beachline and yoga line – reiterating “the difference between style and fashion is quality”.
